minutes before they start for pre-game warm ups, weigh ins,
position assignments, walk throughs, etc.
For players, penalties for breaching these
expectations could include running (both individual and team), etc.
For players and parents, penalties for breaching these expectations
could include a one game suspensions, etc.
Coaches and parents should have discussions
around any needs or issues that arise. The time for these
discussions is after any practice. Before practice and games we are
busy preparing and emotions are sometimes higher after games. It is
always best to thing logically rather than emotionally.
Our goal is for every player and parent to have
a good experience this season. I want to note that coaches are also
parents and should abide by these same expectations. It is our
experience that abiding by these expectations will help ensure a
good experience for all.
